A Little Story to get You Started

I met an artist, a talented some years back and i decided to introduce him to the music industry. Not that i was or i'm the "Knoow it all" of the entertainment industry but because i knew some things he didn't know at that time. The said artist had a great song and we did our best to promote it. As a new comer, he didn't understand how the industry "goes" (Operates) as Burna boy would say; he thought by going to Radio stations to book  interviews and meeting top Djs and OAPs, Would bring Fame and Success his way in less than three months.

Things didn't work out the way he expected and he gave up and stopped doing music. After two years he came back and said he was ready for the industry, so i said Okay bro. I still got your back.

 Recently, Everyone got talking about Wizkid's Feature on  Drake Views album, Wizkid tops the Billbord Chart, Wizkid, the first Nigerian to appear on the Billboad Chart and so on.  Such Great success did not come  like a Miracle, the kid worked towards it for several years and i believe he deserves what he gets.

Some guy shared a wonderful quote via his twitter page this evening and it reads.

"Don't ask God to Direct your Foot steps when you are not ready to move your feet"

JUST THAT

There is no Miracle about it, you have to move your feet (Extra Extra Try) before what seems impossible in your mind becomes possible.

‘The industry is going bonkers. There are so many issues to talk about but I will rather focus on one story that continues to unfold in front of us all. 

While so many folks who can afford data are busy quarrelling on social media on every issue that springs forth, another generation of people living in several Projects can’t afford the basic necessities of life. Out of one of these Projects, somewhere far away in an area called Waterside in Port Harcourt, a young man rose out of the ashes to become one of the most promising artistes in the country. 

From dropping out of the university because of lack of money, to hawking foodstuffs, to gathering money to pay school fees and re-enrolling but eventually having to drop out because of insufficient funds, to later deciding to opt for music, Mr 2Kay's journey to succeed in the Nigerian music industry reads like one script designed for the movies. Arguably, 2Kay’s tales from the most unusual places can be described as one of the best stories of someone living The Nigerian Dream.'
