Port Harcourt Entertainment Indusrty Review 2 with Tarrmie de Man (Djs Edition)

The purpose of  going to the studio to record a song in my opinion,  is for an artist to show the world of what talents he or she is got, though some nowadays do music for several reasons which is a story for another day.

How would the world come to know of these  wonderful talents of an artist, if they don’t get to listen to their song. For the song of an artist to get to the public it has to undergo some processes starting from the production studio to the internet (blogs, streaming sites and music stores) and all the way down to the Djs and media houses.

Talking about publicizing a song , the Djs in-arguably does 50% of the job (Correct me if am wrong) because you would agree with me that, everyday in the city of Port Harcourt one or two occasions are been held;  it could be a Birthday Party, wedding reception ceremony, burial ceremony, convocation party or even a graduation party in one of the Primary or Secondary schools. On a sure note, music must be played at all the aforementioned ceremonies and who would be the personality behind the wheels? Obviously not an On Air Personality or An Online Personality (blogger) but a Disc Jockey, (DJ). The media houses also does this much but I think the DJs do it much more. That is why am giving a big shout to all the Djs in the city of Port Harcourt!!! Tuale!!! 5*****

LET US MOVE ON

Is it ever possible for the Managers of Casablanca night club, Daniels, Temptation or even Cosmo de Lounge (I know someone that clubs a lot, they tell me the names) to request the services of a DJ and not pay him? Except the Manager is a close friend or family, even at that, the answer remains CAPS “NO”.

Moving on, why would the owner of Eddis Wine Bar require the services of a Dj? Obviously not to come clean the floor and the chairs; but to play good music from great artistes  for their customers. On a serious note, whose songs is the DJ going to play? his songs? Or the songs of that talented artist he once asked to pay him 50k before he plays his songs?

For my big DJ brothers working in the big radio stations of Port Harcourt like the Cool FM, Rhythm Fm, Wazobia fm and the rest, without asking questions again, we know you are been paid good money for your services as  DJs, but brothers, whose songs do you play? Your songs or the song of the upcoming artist that highhandedly paid for the productions of his songs that you once asked to pay 70k else you won't play him  on radio?

So, why do you (DJs) request for what you’ve been paid to do already?

On a simpler note, why do you request such huge an amount to play the songs of an artists, when you have been paid to play them anyways?

As you wouldn’t play the songs of an upcoming artist on radio or in the clubs, how would you feel if Davido should request Djs to pay him the sum of 150k before they play his songs? I remember Jahbless asking bloggers not to upload his songs on the internet as they were uploading songs from his album.. We still do cha..

If Davido says that, do you think his songs will go far as they used to? Now in “Nosa’s” voice***

“We all need each other to see life (The Port Harcourt Entertainment industry) Through.”

If the Presidency should ban music entirely in Nigeria (which is not possible), 50% of my Kalabari and Okrika brothers would pack their bags to the village and start fishing. No insult intended.

AM JUST TRYING TO SAY THAT:

“Without music (who does the music?), without an artist, There is no Dj Career whatsoever.

“The artiste is the parental category to the Dj category in the entertainment industry”

I am not a blogger that does not have stories to put on my blog but a wise man once said

“The World does not suffer because of the wickedness of the bad people but because of the silence of the good people”

But that is just a quote bro.

I might have made some minor blunders but i believed my message was received!!!

Good Evening.
